Magigoo PA (Original PA)
Magigoo PA
WHAT: MAGIGOO PA is designed for professional use, to work exclusively with Polyamide filaments. The part should be relatively easy to remove once it cools and the glue residue should also be easily cleaned off.
WHY:
PA (polyamide) describes a group of polymers with an amide repeat unit. Generally in the FDM industry there are 3 main types of PA which include PA12, PA6,6 and PA6, sometimes these materials can be either grafted with other polymers or else reinforced with glass or carbon fibres. Generally nylons exhibit high strength, toughness, elasticity, wear resistance, chemical resistance and thermal resistance and are widely sought in various industrial applications.
Nylon filaments prove to be challenging materials for FDM printing due to their lower adhesion to conventional 3D-printing build surfaces and their higher tendency to warp. Furthermore there are several classes of PA filaments each behaving differently. MAGIGOO-PA is a specialized solution for FDM printing of PA filaments which was developed to work with a wide number of PA types
HOW:
MAGIGOO PA has been designed and tested to work with different PA and fiber reinforced filament brands.
- Shake the bottle.
- Apply to the desired area by pressing the nib on the bed (activating the inner valve) and spreading as needed.
- Print according to the filament/printer manufacturers recommendations
- Allow to cool and Remove. The print should pop right off
- Clean - Use a damp cloth to wipe off.
SAFETY:
Using this product with other than PA type filaments might cause over adhesion and damage your build surface.
Tips:
For larger prints a 20 mm brim is recommended
In cases of excess adhesion, it is recommended to wet print bed with a small amount of water slowly work it below the part, this should make part removal easier

CARBONX™ PP-CF (CARBONX PP-CF )
CarbonX™ Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene (PP+CF) 3D Filament
CarbonX™ PP+CF is made using a specialty formulated polypropylene copolymer reinforced with high-modulus chopped carbon fiber. This filament is based on a patent-pending formulation that offers improved thermal properties and low shrinkage/warp compared to competitive PP-based compounds.
The reels contain 750g of filament, but based on the very low density of PP+CF, this is the same amount of filament that would typically be found on a 1kg reel of ABS. This allows you to print light-weight and exceptionally rigid parts for medical, drones, watercraft, automotive, or any application which would benefit from a light weight, stiff, chemically resistant material.>
Benefits of PP+CF Include:
- Excellent resistance against a huge variety of chemicals
- Low density and weight
- Easier to print than most flexible materials and suitable for use with practically any 3D printer
- Typically does not absorb moisture, no drying required!
- High strength and stiffness
Chemical Resistance of PP+CF
Since properties can change depending on print environment and 3D model geometry and/or surface area, it is always required to do your own testing, but Polypropylene is famous for its chemical resistances to a huge range of environments including:
- Acids: Acetic, Boric, Hydrochloric, Phosphoric, Stearic, Sulfuric, Uric
- Bases: Hydrocides of Ammonium, Barium, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Sodium
- Solvents: Acetone, Ethanol, MEK, Phenol (10%), Water
Filament Specifications:
1.75mm and 2.85mm +/- 0.05mm in diameter
Recommended Print Settings:
- Extruder: 220-250°C
- Bed Temp: 23-60°C
- Nozzle: We highly recommend a hardened steel nozzle with a minimum diameter of 0.4mm
- Other: Ideal layer height is 60% of nozzle diameter. We do not recommend printing layers smaller than 0.2mm with carbon fiber reinforced filaments
